Fatai Deji Animashaun
Fatai Deji Animashaun is the founder, chairman/CEO of the board of trustees of the Deji-Animashaun Youths and Community Development Foundation. I attended Ansar-Ud-Deen High School, Suru-Lere, Lagos, Nigeria. I proceeded to the USA in 1970, to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Illinois, USA where he earned an undergraduate degree in Finance/Accounting and a graduate degree in Economics in 1974 and 1977 respectively.
I joined the Unilever Audit department of UAC of Nigeria as a system Auditor. I was appointed as director of the Lagos State Local Government Revenue Board during the Governor Jakande Administration in Lagos State until the military intervention in 1983.
I ventured into private business and operated Finance and investment operations. I stint in Real Estate investment as well as an insurance Producer and advisor.
During my retirement, I volunteered to serve on the board of a substance abuse treatment program company, as a member of the board of directors during which I stint as a clinical counselor to the clients in the program.
